Using a mixture of prose, testimony and artwork, this book illustrates the reality of life on the margins for a group of women in East Yorkshire.
The creation of the report became a story in itself, as from reasonably traditional beginnings as a ‘funded project’, the line between ‘researcher’ and ‘subjects’ gradually melted away and resulted in a powerful, creative and truly co-produced book, as well as a photographic exhibition.
